Tom Losier has dedicated more than 35 years to the sport of lacrosse as both a player and a coach.
Career Highlights
- Three varsity letters as a starter at Sleepy Hollow High School
- Walked on and earned a scholarship at Long Island University/C.W. Post
- Four-year letterman, three-year starter, and team captain at C.W. Post (1978–1982)
- Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Sleepy Hollow (1982–1984)
- Competed at the national club level for the Pepsi/Westchester Lacrosse Club for three years
- Founding father of lacrosse in the Tampa Bay area (2001)
- Helped launch Clearwater Youth Lacrosse program
- Key role in getting lacrosse sanctioned as a varsity high school sport in Pinellas County
- Founded and served as inaugural Head Coach of the Countryside Boys Varsity Lacrosse team
- Co-founded the Tampa Bay Fire in 2008 — the area's first travel lacrosse program
- Co-partner of Spring Break Lacrosse, bringing colleges and high schools to the Tampa Bay area
- Committed to introducing young players to the game through Yellowjacket Recreation, after-school programs, and summer camps
Contribution to Florida Lacrosse
Tom Losier has been a foundational force in Tampa Bay lacrosse for over 25 years, pioneering youth and high school programs in Clearwater and North Pinellas while elevating player development through the Tampa Bay Fire and Spring Break Lacrosse.
