About the Florida Lacrosse Hall of Fame

As the first sport played on the North American continent, lacrosse is an important game in our country's national heritage. Our Hall of Fame seeks to perpetually honor and preserve those who were instrumental in advancing the sport in our community and across our region.

The Florida Hall of Fame updated its Hall of Fame in 2022 to reflect the recent Hall of Fame re-organization initiative by the USA Lacrosse governing body, ensuring proper identification and selection of eligible candidates.

The Florida Lacrosse Hall of Fame was established to honor men and women, past and present, who by their deeds and accomplishments as players, coaches, officials, or administrators have contributed to the growth and stature of lacrosse across the State and nationally — and who, by the example of their lives, personify great contributions to our sport and our way of life.

We are an authorized state-level Hall of Fame operating under the USA Lacrosse governing framework. Each year our Hall of Fame convenes a Hall of Fame Selection Committee, and if warranted, selects inductees for that specific year. The Selection Committee aggressively pursues nominations, evaluates each nominee against published eligibility criteria, and makes recommendations to the Hall of Fame Executive Committee.

Preserving the history of lacrosse in Florida is more than a ledger of names. It is a record of mentorship, sacrifice, and stewardship — the work of those who built fields, ran clinics, raised teams, and championed the next generation. Our honorees come from every corner of the game: players, coaches, officials, builders, and contributors. Together, they tell the story of how this sport became part of Florida's athletic identity.
