Architect of one of Florida's most decorated girls lacrosse programs, Jayne Chapman led Plant High School to the 2025 FHSAA 2A State Championship — the first girls lacrosse state title for both Tampa and the Gulf Coast of Florida.
Biography
Jayne's lacrosse journey began where so many great ones do — on the fields of her hometown. Growing up in Richmond, Virginia, she developed a love for the game that carried her to Duke University, where she competed at the collegiate level and laid the foundation for a lifetime of service to the sport.

- Head Coach, Plant High School Varsity Girls Lacrosse (2011–2025), 15 seasons
- Overall record of 193–32, including 60–1 in District play
- 2025 FHSAA 2A State Champion — first girls lacrosse state title for Tampa and the Gulf Coast of Florida
- 2024 State Championship Runner-Up and 2023 State Championship Final Four appearance
- Back-to-back-to-back Regional Championships in 2023, 2024, and 2025
- 10 District Championship titles and Regional advancement in all 11 eligible FHSAA seasons
- Gulf Coast League Championships in all three club seasons coached prior to FHSAA sanctioning

Contribution to Florida Lacrosse
Jayne Chapman helped build the modern foundation of girls lacrosse on Florida's Gulf Coast — from launching youth and middle school programs in South Tampa, to securing FHSAA varsity status in Hillsborough County, to leading Plant High School to the region's first girls lacrosse state championship. Through her work with USA Lacrosse as a Platinum-certified Coach Development Trainer, her service on the FHSAA Sports Advisory Committee, and her role as a Positive Coaching Alliance Workshop Trainer, she has shaped players, coaches, and programs across the state for more than a decade.
