Biography
Clayton Wight is a longtime lacrosse coach, player, and personal trainer who has played a foundational role in growing the sport of lacrosse throughout the Sarasota and Bradenton areas. With more than three decades of playing and coaching experience, Wight has dedicated his career to developing athletes, building programs from the ground up, and creating opportunities for young players both on and off the field.

- Team Captain, Bridgewater State College Club Lacrosse (senior season, 1990–1994)
- Post-collegiate club lacrosse player in Boston, Atlanta, Orlando, and Tampa (1994–2020)
- Co-founder, Manasota/Lakewood Ranch Lacrosse Club (2004) — first lacrosse team in the Sarasota and Bradenton area

Contribution to Florida Lacrosse
A foundational builder of lacrosse in the Sarasota and Bradenton areas, Clayton Wight founded the region's first high school team and multiple youth leagues, led Cardinal Mooney to FHSAA District Championships, and represented the game internationally with the Austrian National Team.
